Today we learned about the letter P. We were going to cover this a few months ago, but between flus and bedrest, it got postponed until today. The kids love to be the teacher. I made P pictures like pizza, picnic, etc. and the kids put them in thier pockets. Then they got to be the teacher and show the others what they had and say what it was.

We read stories, did worksheet. Clair got to show us her American Girl doll! Way to go on not sucking your thumb anymore!!!! We of course got to go outside for recess, but first we got to spend time in the kitchen. We did a sample plate. Pickles, Pears, Peanut butter, Peanut butter treats, and pepperoni. The kids either loved the foods or hated them. Then we made our own Pepperoni Pizza and Punch. Caleb explained that it is called Punch because it "punches your taste buds."

After the snacks we played with the Storyteller flannel boards. Half of the kids played with the toystore one and the other ones played with the Pirate set. They liked me to read the pirate names to them, thier favorite one was "Poop Deck Pete."
I hope they had a good time at preschool. You mothers have done such a wonderful job with the preschool. Emily is just so smart with her letter recognition, and I owe that to each of you! Thanks a million.
