On Monday we had a fun day celebrating Linzie's birthday. First we talked about the letter O and found things that were O's all around the house. The kid's have quite the imagination and even decided to turn themselves into O's. We found it worked best if we worked together to make a giant O.
We read some stories and then we glued all different O shapes onto a letter O page. Then we had play time. Next we popped some popcorn and turned on a movie. We watched Leap's Letter Factory and the kids had a great time singing along with all the letter sounds. They ate their popcorn and marshmallows while they watched the movie.
After the movie we played some party games and then had a great time playing with balloons.
On Wednesday we practiced writing the letter O, made an owl, read some O books and had some fun O shaped snacks. We did some learning activities and of course had playtime. I'm never good about taking pictures the second day around. So these are all from Monday. The kids are all such good kids and I've really enjoyed getting to know them better. They are learning so much and I was impressed they can all write their names and cut, which they couldn't do the first time I had them.
